Past Videos

^An exploration in shot positioning and sequence, with a noir effect and story; the score gives it most of it's emotional effect. Set between the past and present, the said progress can be seen in the present (through subtle changes in clothing, light, and manner) as the "past" sequence plays. Decent exploration in story telling for another upcoming Idea I have in mind.

^Written and Co-directed by me, based on a song I loved listening to (http://youtu.be/eAbafwjHd8E), I based the main character on the felt emotional intensity of the song. The piece was reflective of the various frustrations I have experienced (one way or another) in my life, and showcases the danger of internalizing one's stress. Fun to write, but shooting was a bit of an issue due to scheduling and location scouting. As a writer and Co-director, I learnt that I'm not so good at reigning in actors.

^ Acted in and co-written (the ending). Not necessarily my favorite bit of work, but the acting was fun :P. An attempt at a film noir, this film taught me the stresses and responsibilities of an actor. I wasn't involved much in this film's post production. I did, however, come up with the twist ending and the motif of a black rose.

^A short commercial for "JuniorSeniorBanquet" (our prom). The idea behind this was that I just wanted for there to be a fun, lively atmosphere and things to do rather than just the program and dinner itself. Meant to remind the students that their experience is up to them, rather than their surroundings. Finding extras, a proper location, and time coordination were problems, but we were able to make do in the end, despite the setbacks. Initially, I had envisioned something a bit more grand: quite a few more people at least, but without incentive, one can't attract more than a few dozen people.

^ The Final version of the westward bound recap I was assigned to do. This version was the one sent to the sponsors in the end. Had fun editing this, though I had to edit my video to the specifications of my clients. To be professional is to come to a compromise with your vision and your clients.
